Responsibilities:1) Provide initial well timelines for planning purposes, drilling time curves, and initial costestimates;2) Ensure timely submission of Tender Proposals for services or products to comply withTender Board process; meet deadlines and work with various service vendors to ensureplans are achievable;3) Provide proper technical and commercial input to tender documents for services andproducts;4) Ensure proper Tender Evaluations using approved templates are completed and meet thetechnical and commercial objectives of the program;5) Provide detailed contract documents covering scope of work (SOW), technicalspecifications, commercial requirements and terms and conditions for use in the TenderProcess and inclusion in completed contracts;6) Monitor contract performance, ensuring the technical and commercial conditions are fullymet;7) Acquire planning data Geology, Reservoir Engineering or Geophysics as necessary,and carry out offsite well analysis;8) Proactively identify and recommend solutions to avoid drilling problems, such as how toensure wellbore stability, tackling lost circulation and stuck pipe;9) Review with engineer provision of End of Well reports; provide Engineerin g support/adviseto the rig on program implementation;10) Generate AFE and monitor implementation of programs. Ensure well AFE’s raised aretimely and accurate;11) Ensure proper research of offset data for planned wells is conducted;12) Ensure all well plans are technically sound, feasible and cost effective, giving fullconsideration to all;13) Health, Safety and Environment aspects;14) Ensure well equipment proposed for Drilling, Completing or Workover of planned wells isavailable, fit for purpose, and meet the QA/QC standards required for the application;15) Ensure Applications for Drilling are made in a timely manner;16) Ensure timely provision of Well Programs and that implementation is in compliance withplans;17) Ensure all required reports on Well Program implementation are accurate, received dailyand properly distributed;18) Ensure well performance data is tracked daily; regulations are known and adhered to bothin Programs and Operations.Other duties and responsibilities as required.Qualifications: 1) International Drilling experience is essential;2) Preferably a B. Sc. Degree in Petroleum Engineering with a minimum of ten years drillingexperience, with five of those years as a Drilling Engineer;3) Experienced in advising on technical problems, supervision, planning, scheduling andreviewing work of professional engineers and technicians;4) Experienced in Horizontal Drilling with good technical knowledge of Well Operations.Under Balance Drilling experience is an asset;5) Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations applicable to drilling work;knowledge of IADC/API guidelines for Well Operations. Valid Well Control Certificate –IWCF/IADC;6) Effective communication skills in oral and written English mandatory; ability to converse inArabic is an asset.
